Long story short we had a major issue. AAA gave us a 95 mile tow into town. Fortunately, United muffler was opened between 5 and 6 PM and helped us assess an issue solve it and got us back on the road as we were traveling from Idaho to California. They stayed late to help us. They are trustworthy, confident, and caring, and I can’t recommend them highly enough Five stars for these guys
I honestly couldn't be happier with the work these guys did. I originally went in wanting a different setup, but instead of just taking my money and forcing parts to fit, they took the time to explain why the original plan wasn't going to work because of the driveshaft clearance on my 2012 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi. They came up with a custom solution, walked me through every step, and even let me hear the exhaust at different stages so I could decide exactly how I wanted it to sound. The final product absolutely exceeded my expectations. It has a deep, aggressive Hemi tone without sounding obnoxious, and the craftsmanship is top-notch. The welds look great, everything is tucked up nicely, and they treated my Jeep like it was their own. What impressed me the most was that they actually cared about getting it right instead of just getting it done. They answered every question I had, never tried to upsell me, and built an exhaust that fit my Jeep instead of trying to force a one-size-fits-all solution. If you're looking for honest people who know exhaust systems and take pride in their work, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend United Muffler. I'll definitely be back the next time I need exhaust work done.

We broke down near Caldwell while driving to Alaska. AAA recommended United Muffler, our tow driver confirmed they had a good reputation so we headed that way for repair. Ed and Sam have been working on my families vehicles for about 16 years after my daughter's car broke down and Ed was kind enough to leave the shop to look at it and bring it back to the shop. We keep going back because of how honest they are when something needs fixing and how well they do the repairs. In the beginning Ed and Sam where the mechanics and now they own the business and seem to employ mechanics who are equally honest and have integrity.

Had some custom work done on one of my cars. Great prices and speedy service. Beyond that I had to leave one car to pick up the one that got work done. I locked the keys in the car. They were so nice and unlocked the car for me free of charge. Such a friendly staff!
My car started making horrible noise and they told me to bring my car in and they would check it out. To my surprise they replaced the manifold gasket on one side and repaired an exhaust leak on the other side. They finished the job the same day and I am so happy with the end results.
They really helped me out with my exhaust and got me in right away.
Where do I start well this place is so amazing had my car diagnosed at team mazda was told needed new engine and it would cost 12,500 I think bring my car to united muffler they flushed my radiator replaced a hose and my car is running just fine I'm so greatful

I can only give it 4 stars because I never actually get work on my vehicle done here > just come here to get a smog test. All my vehicles are 16 or more years old and I always pass the smog test. This year I guess is the last one thank goodness.

I used to take my car to Phil's Auto Repair. Phil was a good guy, but he was short staffed and took weeks to get to my car. After Phil's Auto Repair closed down, I took my car to these folks when my power steering rake busted. They charged me $1430 for it to be done. Got it done fast too. I've driven my car for a few weeks with no problems. I would recommend this place with their no hassle service.

I have been a customer for over 25 years. One of the owners Ed McFarland has always gone the extra mile to help with my vehicles. I recently had a noise in the front end of my f150. As they repaired the issue!! I in my mind still hear and felt the vibration. To my surprise Ed removed the tires and installed a different set of tires and the noise and vibration disappeared. I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences going to different mechanics over the years, and it’s sometimes hard to find someone you can trust, but United Muffler was just that for me. My heater stopped working so it’s been a headache trying to find a fairly priced repair, and United Muffler quoted me at half the price of the shop that initially diagnosed my car. The lady who helped me every time I went into the shop was so kind, and I can not thank her enough. She was incredibly transparent throughout every interaction and gave me an estimate very quickly. I was given complimentary shuttle service after dropping my car off, and they even looked up parts and gave me an estimate for another repair that I mentioned I couldn’t afford at this time, which was helpful because I didn’t even know they did body repairs. I will definitely be coming back here, and I cannot recommend them enough!

I went there for my emission test on my car. It probably took about 5 minutes total. There was one car ahead of me and they finished as I was pulling up. The girl there was really nice and we chatted as she did the test. I was very satisfied with my service.

These people totally saved me. I was traveling from Oregon to Wyoming to go elk hunting when my truck began to fail me. They squeezed me in despite having a full schedule, loaned me a vehicle, and helped me find lodging. When the parts I needed were not available, they came up with a stop gap fix to get me back on the road. After hunting for two weeks I came back and they fixed me up completely. Check engine light came on in the last leg of a cross country trip. The gentleman ran a diagnostic test which came back stating that there was a failing sensor. Thankfully it was a non issue. Check engine light turned off and we were back on the road in no time. Very quick service, very polite people. Definitely recommend.
By far the best mechanic in Cladwell. These guys do not try to rip off the customer. I would recommend this place to everyone.

This team at United Muffler was great to work with. They were very competitive on price and the quality was phenomenal. I couldn't be happier. They kept me updated on what was found in the repair process. I took my Ford to the dealership for an overall inspection after buying the car from a private seller and the dealership told me one thing was wrong and it would have cost me 1100.00. I then looked at 3 other repair shops, they all gave me quotes. United Muffler was second from the lowest and their reviews online were great. After i decided to use United Muffler and had it in the shop they found one more thing after digging into it, which I did my research on what they recommended and it was accurate information. After all said and done I paid 880.00 great service and better quality. Highly recommended. Thanks again.

I am from Canada and i was passing through on my way much farther south when an issue with my rear end started up. I was referred to his shop by a nearby les schwab shop. Ed Mcfarland, the owner, had his mechanic Jason come with me for a test drive to try and figure out the source of the problem. After we returned, we put it up on the hoist to look further. My experience with these gentlemen was first class. I have never had a more professional interaction with an automotive shop. Ed was very gracious with his time and his mechanics time to try and diagnose the problem. I was completely blown away by how friendly and professional these gentlemen were. They make you feel like you are very important and they are going to take care of you. I love visiting the United States because they are the friendliest people i have ever met. It is said that Canadians are friendlier then Americans.....not in my experiences. Thank you so much Ed and Jason for your help to a stranded Canadian trying to pass through town. You truly made me feel at home and amongst new friends. When i pass through your town again, i am going to drop by for a visit....with some Donuts 🙂

We were traveling through the area with our three dogs when the alternator on our RV started having problems. We were headed to a remote area of Idaho. We didn't want to get stranded in the woods, so we had to pick a repair shop to check on the alternator issue. I called an explained our problem to Natalie the office manager. She told me to stop by and they would take care of us. They did exactly what they said they would. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a garage. Ed and Sam the owners treated us like were life long customers. They went the extra mile to solve our problem.
The tailpipe/muffler on our coach came loose as we were passing Caldwell on I84. Fortunately, a passing car alerted us to the problem so we could exit the freeway almost immediately. The local Camping World advised that we go to the United Muffler shop. The shop diagnosed the problem at the truck stop and said we could drive the coach to the muffler shop. The shop took us in first thing in the morning after staying overnight in the truck stop and completed the repairs by just-after-noon and we were back on the road. Nick did a great job fabricating a new exhaust pipe from and including the turbo flange, over and down to below the engine were he attached it to the remaining existing exhaust piping. He added six new supports where before there were three. It wasn't cheap but what work on a large coach is? We were on the way to a reunion in Idaho Falls and still arrived early! Thanks to Nick and the guys.

Called around to get a quote on brakes...called about 5 different shops. This one was the most competitive and thorough bid I received. Super friendly, straight forward and easy to do business with. Very honest repair shop. They do nothing without your permission. They gave my 2000 Expedition with 225,000 miles a clean bill of health. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Every time we've gone to them with a vehicle they have been very honest and fair. No sneaky extras. We have never been disappointed with the work they've done. We have been taking our vehicle problems to United Muffler for years and never had an experience like "A Google User" claims to have had. I am suspicious of the bad review by "A Google User". They seem to be hiding behind an anonymous name. Makes me wonder if they are a competitor trying to hurt the reputation of a good company.
They didn't try to sell me anything that we didn't need. We will be going back there for future repairs.
